CLASSIC NEEDLE TURN HAND APPLIQUE
All levels 6 hrs
Students will have several traditional pattern choices to learn all the basics of classic
needle turn or refine techniques to produce superior work. McBride is a runner up in the 20th Century’s 100 Best American Quilts. (QNM #229 & 261 COVERS)
STUDENT SUPPLY LIST:
Sewing needles, sewing thread to match fabric, thimble, pins, fabric and paper scissors, template material, lead pencil #2, compass. Water soluble pen, your favorite fabric marker, emery board, a small piece of cold cereal box and hand appliqué needles.
FABRIC. Beginners please bring: 15” square of unbleached muslin, several _ yards of coordinating fabric for flowers (more if you have them, several green fabrics for leaves. Intermediate Students please bring: 17” square of unbleached muslin or background fabric of your choice, 12 or so various prints for flowers and at least 3 different _ yard different greens for leaves and stems.
SPONSOR SUPPLY LIST: Chalk board, two full view quilt stands, light box, iron and ironing board, 1 can of Niagara or Faultless spray starch, Kodak Carousel projector, screen and a room that can be darkened.
